OSHA 10-Hour Safety Class

This OSHA-compliant Safety Class is designed to train employees about the recognition, avoidance, abatement and prevention of workplace hazards. The course will also provide an overview of OSHA, workers’ rights and employer responsibilities. Training specifically emphasizes hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention, not OSHA regulations. Upon completion of this training course, employees will meet OSHA's requirements for the OSHA 10-Hour certification card and will receive corresponding certification documents.

COURSE FEATURES

Mandatory Training Topics – 6 hours (1 hour each topic)

1. Introduction to OSHA
2. Electrical Safety
3. Exit Routes, Emergency Preparedness, Fire Prevention Plans and Fire Protection
4. Hazard Communication
5. Personal Protection Equipment – PPE
6. Walking and Working Surfaces including Fall Prevention

Elective Training Topics – 2 hours (minimum of 2 topics. minimum of .5 hour each)

1. Blood-borne Pathogens
2. Ergonomics
3. Fall Protection
4. Hazardous Materials
5. Machine Guarding
6. Material Handling
7. Safety and Health Programs

Optional Training Topics – 2 hours ( minimum of .5 hour each)

1. Active Shooter Awareness and Plan
2. Company Safety Policies
3. Confined Spaces
4. Hearing Conservation
5. Ladder Safety
6. Control of Energized Equipment, Lockout – Tag-out Program
7. Mobile Elevating Work Platforms
8. Powered Industrial Vehicles
